Crizal Lenses

crizal

Crizal treated lenses bring together durability, clarity, eliminating glare, improving light transmission and reducing scratches. Ideal use of this versatile treatment include:

  • High index lenses
  • Night driving
  • Computer users
  • Transitions that transmit less light
  • Designer frames
  • Improves tremendously all glasses

patient benefits
BETTER LOOKS

  • Now you can make lenses seem invisible, Crizal eliminates reflections that obscure the eyes. So Crizal lenses are invisible and their frames will look their best.

BETTER VISION

  • Crizal stops the reflections on front and back surfaces causing annoying distractions that make it more difficult to see and add to eyestrain.
  • Driving comfort and computer use are enhanced by reducing glare occurring in these activities.
  • Crizal reduces glare and increases light transmission to 99%. This Improves general vision especially for high index lenses and transitions that transmit less light.

ULTIMATE DURABILITY

  • Crizal protection is chemically engineered for the strongest and longest-lasting bond possible. The unique two-sided scratch resistance is fused into the lens virtually eliminating peeling and virtually all scratching.

crizal technology
When it comes to anti-reflective lenses perfect integration of hard coating, anti-reflective and hydrophobic topcoat means a stronger bond. And a stronger bond means long-lasting durability. Crizal lenses are a complete system integrating the anti-reflective, scratch-resistant and hydrophobic layers into the lens.

The layers and the lens become one. This rigorous process provides crystal-clear vision, unsurpassed performance and durability. There is no cracking and peeling: The key to this performance is that the components are perfectly matched, so they fuse together into the lens to provide unsurpassed performance and durability.

THE CRIZAL PROCESS

  1. Crizal starts with an uncoated lens. Ultrasonic energy cleans the lens thoroughly, eliminating dust particles, grease and other contaminates. The lens is then activated chemically, preparing the surface to accept the anti-scratch and anti-reflective layers.
  2. The diamond-hard, scratch-resistant coating is fused into both sides of the uncoated lens. A specific scratch coating with a unique composite is matched to the lens material for optimum compatibility and a perfect bond.
  3. Anti-reflective layers are applied to the hard coat on both sides of the lens. To ensure that the layers are compatible, the composition of the scratch coating is chemically matched to the anti-reflective material.
  4. A hydrophobic topcoat formulated to match the anti-reflective layer is applied. It too fuses into the lens.
